Also known as "gage savers" these pressure limiting valves help protect gauges against over pressure situations.

The adjustable automatic action Pressure Limiting Valve - Overpressure Protector Model 255, 2550, and 71620, is for use with liquid & gases to protect systems from over-range at operating pressure up to 15,000 psi. The valve automatically shuts off pressure to the gauge if the pressure rises above the adjustable pre-set pressure, and automatically restores the instrument on-line when pressure falls below the pre-set value.
